So This Is What We Counted Down To?

I knew this day was coming from the day after I started the job. I stayed knowing there was a fast-approaching end. There were times between the beginning and then that I questioned my decision to stick around instead of look for a more long-term position. I chose to stay partly because I was too nervous to go through the interview process again so soon. But now, looking back, I think it was mostly because the people I met at this job seemed special – like they would have an unexpected impact on me.
